We released a small update which added a new tool for re-OCR’ing documents. This is typically useful only if you import a PDF that are not OCR’d, but contain small amounts of readable text, such as page numbers. In these instances, Home Document Manager will not automatically OCR them.
Re-OCR Tool Added
Added TXT and RTF Support
I’ve just issued an update which has added support for importing and displaying both plain text files (.txt) and Rich Text Format files (.rtf).
Don’t think there’s anything else to say…
As usual, Home Document Manager will update itself when an internet connection is present.
A Small Tweak to Full Text Search
I’ve just released an update to Home Document Manager which has changed the way the full text search works ever-so-slightly. Previously, when you searched for a particular search term, you were searching only the contents of the documents, not the titles. With this change, the document titles are now indexed too, so you can search for documents by name.
This change will only apply to new documents. Fear not – if this is something you can’t live without, I’ve also added a tool to rebuild your content index to include the titles for all documents. Simply go into the options menu, go to the “Tools” tab and click “Rebuild”. This will probably take a few minutes if you have a lot of documents.
As usual, Home Document Manager will update itself when an Internet connection is present.
Update Released
We’ve just pushed out a minor update featuring a couple of requests. Next to the search button, you will now see another button which allows you to change how the documents within the window are ordered, e.g. by name, date etc.
Mouse wheel scrolling now also works in the document viewer.
Update Released: Document Import

And update has just been released for PDF Scan Pro. Whilst previously, the only way to create new PDFs was from your scanner, you can now import files directly from your computer into your new PDF.
PDF Scan Pro supports the importing of most image file formats and also other PDF files. Specifically:
- Image files: .BMP, .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .TIF, .TIFF, .GIF
- PDF files: .PDF
As usual, no action is required to benefit from this update, PDF Scan Pro will update itself the next time is runs, assuming an Internet connection is present.
