Babies, delays and hackers

It’s been quite an eventful week here, so I just wanted to update everyone.

First of all, the dokix.com website was compromised via a PHP script exploit around a week ago. This was not a quick process to fix in the first place, but was delayed even further by the arrival of our 5th child on Monday morning. Our 4th son, Jesse was born at 10.30AM at a very reasonable 8lbs, all fine and straightforward.

I had to spend a day rebuilding the website from backups and I now think everything is back up and working fine, if you experience any problems however, please let me know.

With all the disruption, I’m afraid there’s a bit of an email backlog that I will try to clear today. Thanks for bearing with me.

Hi Tina, I can assure you I’m working on it :) Part of the problem with doing external consultancy is that my plans for internal work are sometimes thrown out the window by external forces. Rest assured I have a much improved solution in the pipeline.

I should start adding some screenshots to the blog so folks can see what’s coming.
