Most scanner manufacturers will produce TWAIN drivers for their scanners, with Fujitsu Scansnaps as the notable exception. HDM works on Windows XP to Windows 7, and works on both 32 and 64 bit machines. The left panel is for navigating your document structure, the middle panel show you your what's in the selected folder/tag, and the right panel allows you to preview a document.
